1) Star Help: On Thursday, we told you that Seniors could get information about the STAR real estate tax exemption at the Central Avenue Library. On Friday it's the Bar Harbour's Branch's turn. Assistance will be available beginning at 9 a.m.

2) Senior Discussion: The "Let's Talk" senior discussion group will also be at Bar Harbour, meeting at 1 p.m.

3) Hurricane Irene Deadline: If your business was affected by Hurricane Irene, the U.S. Small Business Administration wants you to know that the deadline for homeowners, renters and business owners to fill out an SBA loan application is Oct. 31. Don't discard or forget to fill out the application.
