1) TOBAY Election: If you went to bed early on Tuesday, and didn't hear the results, it was a big night for Oyster Bay Republicans as incumbent Supervisor John Venditto, Town Clerk Steve Labriola, Receiver of Taxes Jim Stefanich, and Council members Joseph Muscarella, Anthony Macagnone and Rebeca Alesia were all re-elected.

2) Nassau Legislature: Peter Schmitt was easily re-lected in the Nassau County's 12th Legislative District, while the race in the 14th District was still up in the air. Incumbent Republican Joe Belisi had a slight lead over Eva Pearson, but Democrats were calling for a recount.

3) Business Expo: This event sponsored by the gives you a chance to promote your business to otheer merchants in the community. It will be held at Stuart Thomas Manor at 2143 Boundary Avenue in Farmingdale. It costs $50 for members and $100 for non-members.

4) Thanks For the Pink Slip: The  hosts this program that explores possible upsides to being fired. It begins at 7 p.m.

5) Meet and Greet: Massapequa Patch is holding its first ever meet and greet tw on Nov. 18 at 9 a.m, the newly renovated at 4942 Merrick Road. You can talk about community issues with us and our sales staff will be on hand to tell you how you can improve and market your business through Patch. You can also get information on claiming your business listing on our site. Not to mention the great bagels. And if that's not enough there will be free coffee.
