Parenting Workshop: There will be a luncheon and parenting workshop at the Westfield Sunrise Mall. The topic will be: "Developmental Theories and How They Relate To Your Child." It starts at 1 p.m. Pre-registration is required.

Clay Craft: If you're looking for an activity for the kids on this week off, the Central Avenue Library will hold this craft program for children ages 5 to 12 at 10:30 a.m.

Movie: It's also movie night at the Central Avenue Library. The feature is "Soul Surfer" starring AnnaSophia Robb and Dennis Quaid. Showtime is 7 p.m.

Book Discussion: The Bar Harbour Library will host a program by teen/tween authour Linda Maria Frank  on her book "The Madonna Ghost" and the author will also give tips about creative writing at 7 p.m.

PAB:  The Town of Oyster Bay Planning Advisory Board  meets Thursday at 7 p.m.at Town Hall, 54 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay.
