Today's Five: What You Need to Know

1) Election Day: Tuesday is Election Day in New York State. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. among the races contested will be seats on the Oyster Bay Town Council, including the Town Supervisor's. Also contested in Oyster Bay will be the the race for Town Clerk and Receiver of Taxes. There will also be votes for seats on the County Legislature in the 12th and 14th District.

2) Open/Closed: Massapequa Public schools are closed Tuesday. Adult Education Classes will meet. Oyster Bay Town Hall will be closed. Sanitation and S.O.R.T collection will go on as scheduled.

3) Boys Volleyball: Massapequa vs. Long Beach, Class A Semifinal at Hofstra University at 7:30 p.m.

4) Girls Volleyball: Massapequa Vs. Hicksville for the Class AA Championship. 6:30 p.m. at SUNY Old Westbury.

5) Literature & Life: The Book Discussion group meets at the Central Avenue Library at 1 p.m.
