Road work on the Seaford Oyster Bay expressway is caused delays for motorists heading south towards Sunrise Highway Wednesday afternoon.
Highway workers closed off the two left lanes as part of the ongoing maintenance project between exits 3 and 2 on the expressway.
As traffic merged into one lane, it was diverted back into the center lane due to more construction on the right hand side of the road.
To make matters worse, a stalled car caused rubbernecking delays just after 1 p.m.
