Small hail and gusty winds up to 50 mph are expected with these storms. Severe weather might also cause minor flooding of poor drainage areas and reduced visibility.
Nassau County Police issued a traffic advisory: "Due to the weather conditions drivers are advised to use caution while traveling. Periodic intense downfalls of rain are causing flooding and accumulating pooling of water along roadways. Motorists should be advised NOT to drive through standing water on roadways."
