The week opened with an important remembrance by veterans who acknowledged the anniversary of the end of the Korean War. After looking back, it was time to look forward, as a contractor was picked for the demolition of the Packard Middle School, which will be replaced by new athletic fields. Area teams were doing pretty well on the fields that already exist, as the Massapequa Coast Juniors won the Long Island Little League title, and moved onto the state tournament. The 11-year-old team got off to a great start as well. But perhaps the most interesting competition this week was "Man v. Food," the popular Travel Channel show came to Ciao Baby in an episode that aired this week. Thanks to all of our staff for bringing all the stories.
