We're returning from a long holiday weekend on Tuesday, and while many of us got a well deserved rest, it's appropriate to remember the holiday, which is meant to honor those we've lost in our armed forces.
On Monday, Massapequa Park honored those fallen heroes and our veterans with the annual Memorial Day parade and wreath-laying service at Brady Park.
The weather was sunny and there appeared to be a good crowd at the parade.
