4 Paws for Zachary Charity Bowling Event

Massapequa Family and Friends gather to help raise money for Autism Assistance Dog.

The family and friends of Massapequa HS Alumni Laura (Fielding) Fiorello class of  1999 andFrank Fiorillo class of 2000 are holding ‘4 Paws for Zachary’ bowling event  Sunday August 18, 2013 at Farmingdale Lanes, 999 Conklin St Farmingdale from 5:3 0-8:30PM to raise money for a specially trained Autism Assistance dog for theirson Zachary, 5, who was diagnosed with Autism at age 2.

The dog will be provided by 4 Paws for Ability, an Ohio based organization that trains all types of dogs to help children with disabilities, including autism.  The dog is being trained to calm Zachary during explosive outbursts and more importantly to track the boy should he wander from home – an all too common occurrence for children with autism, a condition that affects how the brain processes information.  The dog will also help with his socialization
by bringing people into his world safely.

Childhood friends and classmates from Massapequa High School
are gathering at Farmingdale Bowl for a fun event with local businesses
donating raffle prizes.

Tickets to the event are $25.00 which includes 3 hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza and soda.  Raffles, 50/50 and ‘red headpin’ prizes will be held that night.
