Weigh in on Next Heat Wave

The mercury in Massapequa is on the rise again. What kind of summer are we in for?

It's enough to get you hot under the collar.

For the second time this months it appears another heat wave is headed to the area. The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures to soar at or near 90 degrees this weekend.

It's exactly the same situation we faced last week when people ran to air conditioned rooms and cooling centers were opened.

So we're wondering if it's going to be one of those years.

Will we be sweating out to Labor Day and beyond or is this just a hot hiccup?

Take our poll below and weigh in with our comments.

What difference does it make what we think the summer will be? Our opinion means nothing, so why take the time to poll it? What will be, will be. Wishing will not make it so.

I agree with Barry, but we already know the answer - page views. More people are likely to click on an article if there is a call for comments. This increases the page view count which Patch's advertisers use as a metric of how many eyeballs are seeing their ads.
