Pushing a Drug Free Long Island

Janice Talento leads Massapequa-based organization.

Talento wants to create an atmosphere in area communities where drug peddlers will be afraid to approach kids. She'll do that May 5 at an outdoor event at Marjorie Post Park.

While I applaud her and wish her good luck in this endeavor, she has a very difficult job in front of her. I think the drug culture has been too deeply engrained in the schools and the community.
