In little more than three years, Massapequa's Janice Talento has taken an emotional response and transformed it into the non-profit Drug Free Long Island.
Talento wants to create an atmosphere in area communities where drug peddlers will be afraid to approach kids. She'll do that May 5 at an outdoor event at Marjorie Post Park.
