Great Local Animals Available for Adoption This Week...Check 'em Out!!!

What a great week to bring home a new pet from one of our local shelters. While there are so many adorable animals available for adoption right now, I'd like to introduce you to some who would love to make your home their forever home.

At Last Hope Animal Rescue in Wantagh, you can meet a really adorable cat named Boston (pictured).  Boston was rescued near a fast food restaurant (any guesses which one) while searching for food in the dumpster and crying out to anyone that would listen.  Thankfully Boston was rescued and brought to Last Hope for some much needed TLC.  Boston is known as a gorgeous, friendly little boy who was born in January 2013 who really enjoys being petted and held.   Why not bring Boston home with you tonight?

And check out this little ball of talent, aka Skip (pictured).  Skip is a Jack Russell Terrier mix who comes as a stray from Babylon Shelter.  He is approximately 1 year old, very loving, and one of the best 'lil jumpers known to Last Hope.  He's really quite adorable to watch and play with, so why not visit Skip and have a few laughs with him today.  For more information on the great animals at Last Hope, please visit their website at http://lasthopeanimalrescue.org/

And right next door, available at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter are 2 great dogs and 2 purrrfectly sweet kitties. First up is Kris Kringle (pictured).  A must-have for the holiday season!!!  Kris Kringle is a 1 year old male mixed breed who was brought to the shelter as a stray. He is described as handsome and very energetic. His favorite hobby besides snuggles and kisses is to play with a tennis ball! It is his holiday wish to have a home of his own. Wouldn't he look adorable under your tree this year?

Another super handsome mutt available this week is Moby (pictured).  Moby is approximately 2 years old and brought to the shelter after being rescued from an abandoned home.  Moby is nervous at the shelter, but his new people friends have been making him feel more comfortable and at ease. Moby really likes other dogs and would be a great companion for your furry friend. Moby is very anxious to have a family of his own...why not make that family yours?

Yo Adrianne!  How's about checking out this next adorable cat named Rocky (pictured).  Rocky is approximately 7 years young, neutered, up to date on his shots and tested negative for aids/leukemia.  But the real story is that Rocky aint the tough guy he's named after... in fact, this Rocky is known as a big mush!  He's been known to roll on his back and loves belly rubs- in fact, he would do this all day if you let him.

How about adopting a cat whose sweet as candy?  Puuurfectly named, Licorice (pictured) is about 2 years old spayed female and was brought to the TOH shelter by a nice man who found Licorice wandering the streets. Not only is Licorice adorable, she's known to be very friendly, outgoing, and loves to play and get brushed.   Why not let your sweet tooth guide you to the shelter to take this cutie home tonight!   For more information on Kris Kringle, Moby, Rocky, Licorice and other great pets available for adoption at the TOH Animal Shelter, check out their website at http://toh.li/animal-shelter.
