Great Pets Available for Adoption Week of July 24th!

What an excellent week for pet adoptions.  Here are 5 adorable cats and dogs located right here in Wantagh that are just waiting to find their forever homes.  Pay close attention, because one is cuter than the next.

And without further delay, please allow me to introduce you to Coco, Puffy and Peaches, all available at Last Hope Animal Rescue, located at 3300 Beltagh Avenue in Wantagh. Coco (pictured) is a 7 year old long-haired Chihuahua who recently lost his best friend when his elderly owner passed away. Coco is known as a sweet and happy boy, and tiny as they come weighing only 9 and a half pounds.  Coco is just adorable, very sweet and loves the company of children.  So for all of you small breed fans (and I know there's a lot of you) come on out and meet Coco...you'll be so glad you did!

And for the feline lovers out there, feast your eyes on two purrfectly adorable kitties named Puffy and Peaches. Puffy (pictured) is a male long haired gray and white Maine Coon mix who's just about a year old.  Puffy was taken care of through foster care, and now is ready to find his forever home. Puffy is known as a sweet boy that enjoys keeping people company and loves loves loves attention!  His foster mom says he will make an awesome BFF to a loving family.  On a personal note, years ago my brother had a cat just like Puffy and he was definitely one of the sweetest most loving cats we ever knew.  So don't be shy, go check out Puffy today!

Now this next cat is nothing short of adorable.  Peaches (pictured) is perfectly named as it appears as though she has a little "peach" fur on her face.  Peaches is just under 2 years old and I'm told she is just a sweetheart!  She's been home fostered and vet checked, which means the only thing she needs now is her forever home.  For more information on Peaches, Coco and Puffy, please check out Last Hope's Website at http://lasthopeanimalrescue.org/

And right next door at The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter awaits one fun loving pooch and a super great kitty in search of their new families.  First up, meet Thelma (pictured). Thelma is a female mixed breed, about 2-4 years old, and she is known as one  polite, loving little lady!  She is known to make friends quickly with new people, even the most unusual of strangers, and loves to be petted and massaged.  She loves to play, knows how to fetch, and will roll the ball up to you with her nose (come on, that is nothing short of adorable!)   Thelma would love to be a part of a home with older kids, and while she can tolerate other dogs at a distance, she is definitely a people-centric pooch and would do best as the only dog in the household.  Thelma already knows how to sit, stay and come, and she would do really well with some additional training to help forge a relationship with her new family.

And last but by no means least, please allow me to introduce this gorgeous 1 year old feline, Kelly (pictured).  Not only is Kelly beautiful, extremely sweet and outrageously charming, she's also been spayed, up to date on all of her shots, and tested negative for aids/leukemia.  She loves other cats so much that she would adore moving in with a family that has a another feline or two!!  I wish I could take her (my cats would adore her) but my husband would toss me out on one ear.  "2 cats are plenty" he'd be screaming at me as he packed my bags and handed me a one way ticket to some ungodly place of his choosing.   But my loss is someone's gain!  Thelma and Kelly are ready to meet you at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter today!  For more information on these and other animals available for adoption, check out the town's website at http://www.townofhempstead.org/
