The Massapequa Public Library will be holding a blood drive on September 3rd, from 3 pm to 7:30 pm.
Today we received this press release from the New York Blood Center:
"Blood collections usually dip in the summer months when schools are closed and people are away on vacation. August is the most difficult month of the year to collect blood, the effects of which are usually felt all the way into September.
While all blood types are needed on a regular basis, O+ and O- are in great demand.
We are currently experiencing a dire need for O- blood, the blood hospitals use in emergencies."
Please donate blood at Massapequa Library on 9/3 from 3 pm – 7:30pm.
