Dr. Arnold Illman a Massapequa based orthopedic surgeon has died.
The Harvard University and Boston University Medical School gradute was 79, according to Legacy.com.
Illman practiced orthopedic surgery on Long Island since 1967 and he was active in supporting disabled athletes. He served on the International Sports Federation of the Disabled and on the International Paralympic Committee.
He died on Sept 20 and services were held last week at Beth Moses Cemetery.
