Former Dick and Dora's Owner Helen Hydrusko Dies at 101

Longtime owner of popular Massapequa eatery spent final years in Massachusetts

Helen Hydrusko, who co-owned Dick and Dora's restaurant in Massapequa for 40 years has died, the Worcester Telegram & Gazette reported. She was 101.

Hydrusko, died in Worcester on Sunday. She was born Helen Midura in Massachusetts in 1912 and met her husband, Joseph Hydrusko, while vacationing in Florida.

Together they owned and operated the popular eatery  until 1983.  Joseph Hydrusko died the same year and Helen returned to Massachusetts. 

Last year, she received the key to the city from Worcester Mayor Joseph Petty in Celebration of her 100th Birthday, according to the Telegram & Gazette.

She leaves a brother, and several nieces and nephews.
