James R. Austin, a Massapequa resident, died on Dec.9.
He was a Navy Veteran who served during WWII.
He was the husband of Sylvia and father of Mary Austin and the late Ella Panetta.
He was also the grandfather of Dawn and Anthony and great grandfather of Liam, Gavin and Logan. He was the brother of Ella Dalton.
Reposing will be held at the Massapequa Funeral Home, Inc. in Massapequa Park Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. William the Abbot R.C. Chuch in Seaford on Friday at 12:15 p.m.. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
