Alert Issued for Missing Farmingdale Woman

Cops issues a Silver alert for a woman in need of medication.

A woman suffering from a cognitive disability and in need of medication has gone missing from her Farmingdale home, and Nassau Police need help finding her.

The last time Elizabeth Walter was known to make contact with anyone was on Thursday, March 6, at 11:57 a.m. at 37 Prescott Street in Garden City.  

Walter is described as white, 5-foot-6-inches and 135 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Police say has been previously hospitalized for detox.

The Silver Alert was issued by Nassau Police Thursday evening. The program disseminates information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.

Many of those reported missing are located.
