Break in at Sunrise Highway Verizon Store

Window smashed during early morning incident in Massapequa may be related to Merrick break-ins.

A thief threw a rock through the door of the store on Sunrise Highway early Tuesday Morning, police said.

The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. The thief entered the store and took an unknown number of cell phones and fled.

The break-in appears similar to a recent number of burglaries at Verizon stores in Merrick.  In those incidents a brick was used to break the front door.
