Five people face robbery charges after they held up an acquaintance in his home Sunday night, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said the 24-year-old victim was in his Broadway home when three men he knew came into the house. After 20 minutes in the house, one of the men, Nicholas Vairo, 21, of Levittown, took out a handgun and ordered the victim to get on the floor, detectives reported. Vairo then took cash, an electronic tablet, and two XBox controllers and fled with Michael Myers, 21, of Seaford, and Rajiv Singh, 19, of Bellmore, cops said.
The three drove away in a 1996 Geo Prizm, owned by Jessica Corsale, 20, of Massapequa, who was in the car with Melina James, 18, of Huntington Station, cops said.
No one was injured in the incident, detectives reported. All the stolen goods were recovered upon the arrest of the five defendants, cops said.
All five involved were charged with one count of first-degree robbery. Myers was also charged with one count and Singh with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The defendants will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
