Cops Find Lottery Ticket Thief

DNA left at scene help identify thief, cops said.

A Massapequa Park man faces charges after he broke into a nearby convenience store and swiped lottery tickets, said Nassau County Police.

On Dec. 23, the owner of Tutal Convenience Store on Broadway in Massapequa arrived at his business and found an air conditioner pushed in, cops said. He inspected his store and reportedly found several lottery scratch offs had been taken.

Investigators took DNA left at the scene and it led them to John Terriberry, 39, of Massapequa Park, they said. After trying him at an old address, cops eventually located him in his home and placed him under arrest.
