Three injured after driver loses control of car, slams into trees.

Three people were injured Wednesday morning after a driver, who was allegedly high, lost control of a car and slammed into several trees, New York State Police said.

Troopers said Dwayne Alcala, 28, of Bay Shore, was at the wheel of a Toyota Corolla that crashed on the Wantagh State Parkway at about 1:30 a.m. Alcala lost control of the car on a curve in the roadway on the parkway near Merrick Road in Wantagh, cops said. The car drove onto the right shoulder and slammed into several trees, cops said.

Alcala and one unidentified passenger were rushed to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment. A third female passenger was taken to Winthrop University Hospital after suffering the "most serious injuries" of all involved, cops said.
