Cops Searching for Man Who Stole Car, Used Credit Cards

Man took car from Clausen Court driveway, caught on camera using stolen credit cards, cops said.

Nassau County Police released surveillance photos of a man they said stole a car from a Massapequa Park driveway and used the victim's credit cards.

The subject, pictured above, went into an unlocked car on Clausen Court in Massapequa Park at 11 p.m. Feb. 7. Detectives said he took the victim's wallet and keys to a 2006 black Ford Mustang which he used to flee the scene.

The unidentified man was caught on camera at several businesses on Hempstead Turnpike later that night using the victim's credit cards.

The Ford Mustang was found in Freeport and the wallet was recovered in Hempstead.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the subject to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
