Cops: Thieves Continue Targeting Unlocked Cars

Nassau County Police say unlocked cars broken into, car windows broken by thieves.

Nineteen cars across Nassau County were broken into last week, reported Nassau County Police.

In four incidents, thieves simply entered unlocked cars and stole valuables, a crime that has continued to plague Nassau County in recent months.

Four cars in Syosset, East Meadow, and Levittown had passenger side windows broken and items stolen, cops said.

  • June 5: Petco, Massapequa; items stolen from unlocked parked car.
  • June 5: Prospect Street, Farmingdale; items stolen from unlocked parked car.
  • June 5: Clinton Street, Farmingdale; items stolen from parked car.
  • June 5: Seventh Street, Garden City Park; license plates stolen from parked car.
  • June 5: Greenlawn Boulevard, Valley Stream; items stolen from parked car.
  • June 6: Charles Lindbergh Boulevard, Uniondale; license plate stolen from parked motorcycle.
  • June 6: Belmont Circle, Syosset; passenger side window broken on parked car, items stolen.
  • June 6: Hillside Lane East, Syosset; passenger side window broken, items stolen from car.
  • June 7: Prospect Street, Farmingdale; EZ-Pass stolen from parked car.
  • June 7: Green Acres Road, Valley Stream; money stolen from parked car.
  • June 7: North Newbridge Road, Levittown; window broken and items stolen from car.
  • June 9: Raemar Court, Bethpage; items stolen from unlocked parked car.
  • June 9: Franklin Avenue, East Meadow; passenger side window broken, items stolen from parked car.
  • June 10: Orchard Street, Massapequa; items stolen from unlocked parked car.
  • June 10: Hungry Harbor Road, Valley Stream; items stolen from parked car.
  • June 10: Dolores Drive, Valley Stream; items stolen from parked car.
  • June 11: Roosevelt Field Mall, East Garden City; items stolen from parked car.
  • June 11: Frankie Lane, Valley Stream; items stolen from parked car.
