Cops: Three Busted in North Broadway Gas Station Burglary

Witness spots thieves leaving Sunoco Station

An eagle eyed witness helped cops nab three burglars who broke into a station on North Broadway in North Massaapequa, early Saturday morning cops said.

David Bassett, 39 of Copiague, Vincent Rago, 44 of West Babylon and Christopher Aiello, 40 of North Babylon were arrested shortly after 12:30 a.m.

A witness saw Bassett flee the station with a crowbar and called cops, police said.  Rago and Aeillo allegedly served as lookouts.

The three got into a silver pickup truck, which police stopped a short time later traveling east on Jerusalem Avenue.

They were all charged with Burglary 3rd degree and Possession of Burglary Tools.
