Cops: Unlocked Cars Continue to Be Targeted

Nassau County Police reports crimes from this week.

Unlocked cars continued to be targeted this week, according to the latest crime reports from Nassau County Police.

Cops said 11 cars across Nassau County were broken into after they were found unlocked.

Police also reported six cars that were stolen from around the North and South Shores.

  • July 11: Eleanor Rigby's, Mineola; gray 2014 Subaru Outlander.
  • July 12: Eve Lane, Levittown; gray 2009 BMW 328is.
  • July 13: Family Dollar, Uniondale; green 1999 Toyota Corolla.
  • July 15: Hollywood Crossing, Lawrence; silver 2007 Jaguar.
  • July 16: Henry Street, West Hempstead; yellow 2004 Honda.

Thefts from Unlocked Cars

  • July 7: Sperry Boulevard, New Hyde Park; items stolen from unlocked car.
  • July 10: Northern Boulevard, Manhasset; pocketbook stolen from unlocked car.
  • July 10: Asbury Avenue, Carle Place; items stolen from unlocked car.
  • July 10: Whitney Pond Park, Manhasset; items stolen from unlocked car.
  • July 11: Davis Avenue, Inwood; items stolen from unlocked car.
  • July 11: Costco, Woodmere; pocketbook stolen from unlocked car.
  • July 13: Heathcote Road, Elmont; Heathcote Road, Elmont; items stolen from unlocked car.
  • July 14: Dahlia Avenue, Baldwin; items stolen from unlocked car.
