Crime Nearby: Burglaries in Dix Hlls

A look at police reports outside Massapequa.

Dix Hills

Suffolk County Police are stepping up patrols in the Half Hollow Hills area after at least three burglaries were reported on Sept. 21.

Homes located on Lincoln Avenue, McNulty Street and Aldus Place in Dix Hills, were reportedly broken into and large items were taken, according to police.

The incidents occurred during the day. Members of the community have said two other homes in the area were burglarized as well, but police have not yet confirmed that information.

Police said that they will be increasing patrols in the area.

East Northport

Gaoqin Chen, 34, of Elmhurst, was arrested in East Northport on Sept. 17 and charged with third degree trademark counterfeiting and failing to disclose the origins of DVD recordings.

Syosset

Angel Nunez, 19, was arrested and charged with criminal mischief at Mercy First in Syosset on Sept. 16.

Farmingdale

 Ryanne Hunter, 23, of Laurelton, was arrested Sept. 10 in East Farmingdale and charged with second degree aggravated harassment and petty larceny. Reports indicate Hunter was arrested for the alleged theft of products from Walmart. Reports indicate Hunter also called another female and made threats.
