Crime Report: DWI Arrests

April 10 to April 16.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

DWI

On April 13, Hugh McQuillan, 34, of East Massapequa was arrested on Woodland Avenue near Merrick Road, Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On 04/14, Michael Dombrowski, 26, of Wantagh, was arrested on Merrick Road near Park Boulevard, Massapequa Park and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Burglary

On April 13, A home on Melrose Avenue was buglarized, police said. The rear window was broken into and some jewelry was taken.

On April13, the owner of a home on Ocean Avenue, reported it was broken into, cops said. The thief broke in therough a side door and took items including power tools.

Assault

On April 16, Someone was assaulted on Amber Drive in North Massapequa, police said. The victim was hit in the head by an unknown object at 1:55 a.m., police said. 

Trespass

On April 14, Dipti Swain, 52, of Oceanside, was arrested at 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny, criminal trespass 3rd and possession of burglary tools.

On April 16, John Thompson, 42, of Massapequa, was arrested on Carman Mill Road near Old Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with three counts of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 2nd and three violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Petty Larceny

On April12, a Levittown man was arrested at at the Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On April 14,  an Amityville woman was arrested at Macy’s, at the Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On April 14, a Massapequa woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.
