Crimes Nearby: Thief Swipes Purse While Woman Plays with Child, Car Stolen

Crimes reported in Wantagh, Seaford, Massapequa and Farmingdale.

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Wantagh

  • Sometime after 5:05 p.m. on Nov. 21, while the complainant’s vehicle was parked at World Gym, two unknown suspects broke the driver's side window and stole a nook tablet, cell phone, briefcase and miscellaneous papers.
  • Also after 5:05 p.m. on Nov. 21, while the complainant’s vehicle was parked at World Gym, two unknown suspects broke the passenger's side window and stole a gym bag, weight belt, wallet, money, credit card, paycheck, driver's license and personal papers.
Seaford
  • Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 21 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, unknown suspect(s) stole an ipod from the complainant's vehicle that was parked in the driveway on Marlow Court.
Massapequa
  • A thief swiped a pocketbook from a woman who was playing with her child at the Sunrise Mall, Nassau County police said. Click here for more.
  • Sometime between 9 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 23, the complainant reported that unknown suspect(s) stole his vehicle's front grill while it was parked on Cottage Drive.
  • Sometime between 7 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 23, the complainant reported that unknown suspect(s) removed a gift card, money, Assorted credit cards, a debit card, a driver's license and a Social Security card from her vehicle, which was parked on Unqua Road.
  • On Nov. 19 at 2:50 p.m., a Lindenhurst and a Wantagh woman Kimmarie were arrested and charged with petit larceny at J.C. Penney.
  • On Nov. 21 at 3 p.m., an Amityville woman was arrested for shoplifting at Pathmark and charged with petit larceny.
  • At 9:20 p.m. on Nov. 21, a Copaigue woman was arrested for shoplifting and charged with petit larceny at Macy's.
  • At 6:05 p.m. on Nov. 22, a Massapequa woman was arrested for shoplifting at J.C. Penney and charged with petit larceny.
  • On Nov. 23, between 2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m., unknown suspect(s) stole the complainant's cell phone from the desk at his kiosk at Sunrise Mall.
  • At 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 23, a Lindenhurst woman was arrested for shoplifting at Macy's and charged with petit larceny.
  • On Nov. 23, between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., the complainant reported that unknown suspect(s) stole his cell phone from his bag at John Burns Park.
  • At 12:07 a.m. on Nov. 25, Domingo Choc, 38, of Massapequa, was arrested on Rockwood Avenue and charged with DWI.
Farmingdale
  • A Nassau County Police officer convicted of pointing his gun at the head of a Farmingdale bartender has been sentenced to a conditional discharge. Click here for more.
  • On Nov. 25, at 10:50 a.m., a suspect tried to break into a Prospect Street home but failed, and nothing was taken.
  • On Nov. 21, between 7:30 a.m. and 6:40 p.m., a 1999 Honda was stolen from the BP Gas Station.
