Drug and DWI Arrest in North Massapequa

Staten Island man had four teens in his car, cops say.

A Staten Island man was driving drunk  on the Southern State Parkway in North Massapequa with four teens in his car, state police said.

Douglas Lindros, 51, was traveling east on the parkway near Hicksville Road when a trooper spotted him tailgating and flashing his high beams at 1:35 a.m. Saturday.

When the trooper stopped him he smelled alcohol in the car, cops said.

Lindros failed a sobriety test and the trooper discovered a bag with a white powdery substance while searching him.  The bag was sent to a lab for testing.

They also found two marijuana cigarettes in the car, police said.  Lindros had four passengers in the vehicle two were 15-years-old and the other two were 16.

It wasn't immediately known if they were related to Lindros, who was charged with aggravated DWI with a child in the car, criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and  traffic violations.
