Drug and Weapon Arrest on Southern State Parkway

State police: marijuana and stun gun found in car.

A man who was speeding on the Southern State Parkway near Massapequa Park was arrested Sunday after officers found drugs and a weapon in his car, state police said.

Gregory Clervoix, 30, of Valley Stream, was stopped by a trooper when he was caught driving at 86 mph, well above the normal speed limit of 55 mph, according to police.  Clervoix's black Audi was stopped near the Bethpage Parkway exit at 11:15 p.m.

While interviewing Clervoix, the trooper detected the smell of marijuana and searched the vehicle. A gram of pot was found along with an electric stun gun, police said.

Clervoix was charged with weapons possession, unlawful possession of marijuana and traffic violations.
