A man spotted leaning into a parked car on Pittsburg Avenue was arrested after he was spotted throwing cocaine away while running from police, cops said.
Carl Anthony Henry, 22, was looking inside the vehicle near Pittsburg and Park lane at 2:45 a.m.
When an officer approached him and asked for identification, Henry fled, according to police.
As he ran away, he allegedly tossed a white powdery substance that he was keeping in his sweatshirt pocket.
Cops caught up to him and arrested Henry. Tests on the substance revealed it to be cocaine. Henry was also found to be in possession of three stolen credit cards.
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.
