Drug Arrests in Massapequa

Massapequa and Farmingdale men accused in alleged drug sale.

Two men were arrested in connection with a drug sale and a subsequent search of their homes yielded more narcotics, Nassau County Police said.

Edward Stromski, 25, of Farmingdale, allegedly went to the home of John Barbato, 22, of Massapequa, Thursday and sold him for ounces of marijuana.

In return, Barbato gave Stomski $900 and two vials of cocaine, police said.

Officers from the Nassau County Police Criminal Investigation Rapid Team saw the sale and moved in to arrest the two men. They recovered Marijuana and cocaine from Stomski's 1998 Jeep, police said.

After obtaining a warrant, police searched both men's homes. They found marijuana and numerous Oxycodone pills in side Stroski's residence, while finding marijuana and cocaine in Barbato's house, cops said.

Stromski was charged with criminal sale of marijuana, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Barbato was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance.

They will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
