An Amityville man was arrested for DWI after he was caught speeding on the Southern State Parkway in North Massapequa, state police said.
Willie Davis, 49, allegedly sped past a trooper while heading east near Bethpage Parkway at 11:40 p.m.
After making a stop the trooper smelled alcohol in Davis' car and the driver failed a sobriety test, state police said.
After Davis was placed under arrest, troopers said they ran a check on his license which showed it had been revoked.
He was charged with Felony DWI for having at least one DWI conviction in the past 10 years, aggravated unlicensed operation 1st, and traffic violations.
