Fire Damages Lake Shore Drive Home
Massapequa and South Farmingdale companies respond to blaze.
A faulty electrical outlet may have caused a fire that did heavy damage to a home on Lake Shore Drive, fire officials said.
A contractor was power washing the exterior of the home in Massapequa Park, when the outlet sparked the blaze at 1:25 p.m.
It quickly spread to the second floor and damaged several rooms, before firefighters arrived.
I took about 10 minutes to put out the blaze and nobody was hurt. Firefighters from Massapequa and South Farmingdale responded.
