The Massapequa Fire Department responded to a fire that was reported in the CVS Pharmacy located at 20 Broadway early Thursday evening.
According to Fire Department officials, there was a small fire in the pharmacy's greeting card aisle, which was quickly extinguished by a CVS employee before it could spread further.
A CVS employee was examined by Emergency Medical Technicians and was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital.
According to Fire Department officials, the cause of the fire is still to be determined, and is currently under investigation.
