Man Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Construction worker was killed in October.

A Northport man was arrested Saturday and charged in the hit and run accident that killed a Massapequa Park construction worker.

arrested John Pappias and charged him with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash. On Oct.28, and a coworker were on Route 25A in Fort Salonga loading a milling machine onto a trailer on the side of the roadway when Schultz was struck by a vehicle at 1:35 a.m. They were working the overnight shift for Intercounty Paving in Hicksville.

Schultz, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The coworker was uninjured.

 Pappias, 46, of 34 Lisa Drive, is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip  on Sunday.

Am I allowed to post my opinion like everyone else is, or are you going to keep deleting my comments, as long as they are not in alignment with your opinion on this matter? The fact that my last comment was deleted really shows how bias this sites administrator/moderator really is. Why have a comment section open to the public, if the public can't post comments?

John, as long as your opinion is in line with what Patch deems "appropriate", you'll have to keep it to yourself. Just "big brother" in another form being pushed on us.

Lets be honest this guy John was obv drunk and took another mans life he deserves his time in jail thats a dirtbag move on his part and i hope the drunk is punished to the fullest!!!!!!!!!
