Man Badly Injured By Shock From Power Line While Hanging Christmas Lights

Landscaper rushed to hospital in critical condition.

A landscaper working at a home located on Adam Road in Massapequa took a major fall and was injured by a powerful electric shock while hanging Christmas lights on the property, police said.

The landscaper, a 30 year old man, was hanging the lights from a ladder on a tall tree located next to a telephone pole when he came into contact with power lines and received the shock. He fell approximately 30 feet to the street below, striking his head on impact, cops said.

The unconscious victim was rushed to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow in critical condition.
