Cops: Massapequa Man Robbed Teenager at Gunpoint

Police said the victim had agreed to meet the man to complete the sale of sneakers he had advertised online.

A Massapequa man has been arrested after he allegedly held up a teenager outside a McDonald's on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.

Nassau County police said the victim had agreed to meet the man at the fast-food store's parking lot to complete the sale of three pairs of Nike Air Jordan sneakers he had advertised online.

Police said Joseph Alessi, 23, pulled out a black handgun and took off with the sneakers, which had a combined worth of $880.

No injuries were reported.

Alessi is being charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree criminal use of a firearm. He is being arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday.

What's the matter.Mommy and Daddy couldn't by him sneakers for Christmas .What a loser and most probably a drug and pill abuser. Know pay for for those sneakers with a nice lawyers bill and hopefully some time in Jail where he belongs. If his family is smart they won't bail him out.

Oh well, the little dirt bag is going to jail. When I was a teen my parents told me that If I was locked up, then I was staying there. Kept me from being stupid and doing dumb things. This thug had a gun. Where did he get a gun from? I love seeing these kids from Massapequa thinking that they are these gangsters from the hood.......Please.....lol. They live in Bar harbor, Biltmore or Nassau shores and they think they are bad asses. It makes me laugh. Teens driving mommy or Daddy's brand new car or dumb parents who buy these spoiled teens brand new cars. Teens need to work and respect their parents. When parents give them everything, then the spoiled brat or punk comes out of them.

The teen had a gun. He was caught with a gun. If it was at a McDonald's, then they would have video cameras. They wouldn't have licked this guy up if they didn't have a reason.

Massa...same crap going on in Rockville Centre...You can't imagine the excuses coming from people portending to be 'neutral'...Friends of the PUNKS and freinds of the parents of the PUNKS are twisting stories to save the ass of their little PUNKS...An ex-cop just just his ass kicked (almose lost his ear to the severe beating at the hands of entitled 'children') for coming to the aid of a neighbor's daughter who threw a party that got out of control on Jackson Avenue...There is NO FEAR of consequences anymore...Last year, a crew of PUNKS kicked the crap outta a guy who came to seek an apology from the PUNKS who disrespected his wife while simply walking her dog...RVC use to be a respected town...Now the fence has broken down and it's just like 'Anywhere, USA"...
