Massapequa and the Alleged Prostitution Ring

A Massapequa Couple has been charged with running a large prostitution ring. Were you shocked by the allegations?

On Thursday, we learned that a Massapequa couple has been accused of running a large prostitution ring that operated around the U.S. and internationally.

A joint investigation by New York City police and U.S. Immigration and Customs Detectives, led to the arrest of Vincent Lombardo, 44, and his wife, Melissa Lombardo, 43.

The couple used money they earned from promoting prostitution to pay for a home in Boca Raton, Fla., according to prosecutors. Their mortgage lists a bank account that uses a Sunrise Highway address in Massapequa.

We want to know what you think about the arrests. How surprised were you that a local couple is  being accused of running such a large operation?  Would it have been possible before the internet was common?

Could there have been warning signs?
