Massapequa Crime Report: Attempted Robbery Near Park Boulevard

Oct. 9 to Oct 15.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Attempted Robbery

On Oct. 12, two women attempted to swipe another woman's pocketbook at the intersection of Park Boulevard and Clark Boulevard in Massapequa, police said. The incident happened at 6:45 p.m.

Burglaries

On Oct. 14, a home was broken into on Maple Street in Massapequa, police said. The thief entered through a rear window  between 4 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., and took money, electronics and jewelry.

On Oct. 9, a burglary was reported at the Jacto Dance Studio in Massapequa, police said. The thief broke in through the back door and swiped cash.

Vehicle Theft

On Oct. 9, a 2003 Chevy Blazer was reported stolen from the driveway of a home on Clocks Boulevard, police said.  It was taken sometime between 9 p.m. the night before and 6 a.m.

Petty Larceny

On Oct. 9, a Uniondale man was arrested at Macy's at the Sunrise Mall and was charged with petty larceny.

On Oct. 10 a Massapequa man was arrested at Walmart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.

On Oct. 12, a Copiague woman was arrested at JC Penney at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.

On Oct. 13 a Farmingdale man  and a Wyandanch man were arrested at Sears at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
