Massapequa Crime Report: Assault, Car Theft and Grand Larceny

Feb. 9 to Feb. 26.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Assault

On Feb. 9, an assault took place at Woody's Village Saloon on Park Blvd in Massapequa Park, police said. A man was hit in the back of the head with a pool stick and knocked to the ground at 2: 15 a.m.

Vehicle Theft

On Feb. 25, a car was stolen from the parking lot of the CVS at 20 Broadway in Massapequa, police said. The owner had parked it there between 8:25 a.m. and 4 p.m. and discovered it was missing when he returned.

Grand Larceny

On  Feb. 13,  an unknown person took jewelry from Sunrise Jeweler in the Sunrise Mall, police said. The theft took place at about 10:30 a.m.

On Feb 20, a Brooklyn man was arrested at the TD Bank at 1354 Hicksville Road in North Massapequa at 9:30 a.m., police said. Kimaly Fenelon was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument.

On Feb. 23, a woman's pocketbook was stolen from a cart at Babies R us on Sunrise Highway. The theft occurred between 6:10 p.m. and 7 p.m.
