Massapequa Crime Report: Burglary and DWI

Aug. 21 to Aug. 25.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

 Burglary

On Aug. 26 a home on Berkley Place in Massapequa, was broken into, police said. The thief took jewelry sometime between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.

DWI

On Aug. 21, Nicholas Cornacchio,  22, of Bay Shore was arrested on Park Boulevard near Beaumont Avenue, Massapequa Park and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On Aug. 25, Pietro Amato, 18 of Massapequa, was arrested on Larch Street near Merrick Road, Wantagh and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon 4th and driving while intoxicated.

Petty Larceny

On Aug. 21,  Wantagh woman was arrested at Macy’s, 400 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On Aug.23, an  Amityville woman was arrested at H&M, 1 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On Aug. 24, a Freeport woman was arrested at JC Penny, 600 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.
