Massapequa Crime Report

Aug. 28 to Sept. 3

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

DWI

On Sept. 1, Claudia Caceres, 23, of  Massapequa Park, was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Babylon Turnpike, Merrick and charged with driving while intoxicated and three violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

On Sept. 3, Robert Erikson, 25, of Massapequa Park, was arrested on Unqua Road near Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with driving while intoxicated and three violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Burglary

On Aug, 29, a home on Norwood Road in Massapequa Park was broken into, police said. The thief struck between 10:30 p.m. and 11:40 p.m.,police said.

On Aug. 30 a burglar broke into a home on Colonial Drive in Massapequa, through a rear door, police said. He made off with a wallet and electronic equipment.

Motorcycle Theft

On Aug. 31, a motorcycle was stolen from a car port on Central Avenue in Massapequs. The 2006 Suzuki K6R bike was stolen sometime between 6:19 a.m. the previous day and 5:30 a.m. the next morning.

Possession of Burglary Tools

On Sept. 29, Riashath Alahi,  21, of  Massapequa, was arrested at , 400 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny, criminal Possession of stolen property 5th and possession of burglary tools.

On Sept. 30, Alexia Webb,  27, of Queens, was arrested at, 1 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny and possession of burglary tools.

Petty Larceny

On Aug. 30, a Wyandanch woman was arrested at , 200 Sunrise Mall, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.

On 09/01, Anthony Ramirez, age 24 of Rhodes Avenue, Bay Shore was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Carol Drive, Massapequa Park and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and 3 violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
