Massapequa Crime Report: DWIs and BWI

Sept 26 to Oct. 1

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

DWI

 On Sept. 27, a Massapequa man man was arrested at the intersection of Block Boulevard and Sunrise Highway in Massapequa and charged with DWI, police said.

On Sept. 26 an Islip man was arrested near the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Old Sunrise Highway and charged with DWI, police said.


BWI

On Sept. 28, a Massapequa man was arrested  on Division Avenue and was charged with opperating a vessel impaired by alcohol and four other violations, police said.


Larceny From Auto

On Sept. 29, someone broke the rear window of a car parked at Berner Middle School and stole a cell phone, police said. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

On Sept 30, a laptop and a GPS were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Rockwood Avenue,police said.

On Sept. 30, jewelry was stolen from a vehicle parked at TOBAY Beach, police said the theft occurred at 2 p.m.
