Massapequa Crime Report: Two Easter Weekend DWI Arrests

March 21-April 2

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

DWI

On March 30, Brian Vasques-Alegre, 21, of Bayshore, was arrested at the intersection of and charged with DWI and four violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, police said.

On March 31, Victor Cook,  45, of Manhattan, was arrested on Hicksville Road near the Southern State Parkway and  and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor Vehicle and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, police said.

On March 22, a wallet was stolen from a customer at Kohl's Department store, police said.

On March 19, a GPS was stolen from a car parked at the Sunrise Mall, police said.

On March 26, a woman discovered the window of her vehicle was broken and her pocketbook was missing, police said. The incident happened at 10:20 p.m.

On March 29, property was taken from a vehicle parked on Westwood Road North, police said.

Grand Larceny

On March 28, a wallet was reported missing from a locker at XPort Fitness at the Sunrise Mall, police said.

On March 30, Someone stole golf clubs from the Sports Authority  at 5:23 p.m., police third.
