A Massapequa man died Saturday after losing control of his vehicle and smashing into a sign post and tree in Lynbrook, police said.
Robert A. Dearing, 25, was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Impala southbound on Ocean Avenue at 4:43 a.m. Saturday when he crashed at the intersection of Ruth Place, according to detectives. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The victim’s vehicle was impounded for safety testing.
