Fallen Nassau police officer receives a hero's funeral Friday.

Nassau County Police Officer from the Special Services Unit, and Volunteer Firefighter for Selden Fire Department, Geoffrey J.Breitkopf, was laid to rest  Friday.

Several thousand police officers, firefighters, family and friends attended a moving service held at St Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church in Selden.

Pipe and Drum groups from New York City Police Department and Nassau County Police Pipe and Drum Corp led the procession, with Police Officers from various departments lined up at the church and the streets, as far as the eye could see.
