Leaving the Scene of an Accident

On Feb. 5, police responded to a call on North Broadway near North Beech Street in North Massapequa in which the complainant was in a parking lot and saw someone hit his/her vehicle. Police said the complainant approached the driver and asked him to pull over. When the complainant walked in front of suspect’s vehicle to get the license plate number the driver accelerated the vehicle striking the complainant.

On Feb. 2, Christopher T Byrne, 25, of Massapequa was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Block Boulevard  and charged with driving while ability impaired.

On Feb. 4, Gregory A Crofts, 23. of Massapequa was arrested on Brookside Avenue near Sunrise Highway, Wantagh and charged with driving while intoxicated and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Criminal Mischief

On Jan 31,  a Bellmore  man was arrested on Sunrise Highway near Broadway, Massapequa and charged with criminal mischief 3rd.

On 02/03, An Amityville man was arrested on South Bay Drive, Massapequa and charged with criminal Mischief 3rd.

Aggravated Unlicensed Operation

On Jan. 31,a Massapequa man was arrested on East Shore Drive near Peconic Avenue, Massapequa and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and one violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Petty Larceny

On Feb. 1, A North Babylon man  was arrested at  at the l, and charged with petty larceny.

On Feb. 4, a Central Islip  woman was was arrested at, at the Sunrise Mall, and charged with petty larceny.

On Feb. 2 someone broke the passenger window of a car Parked outside of on Sunrise Highway and stole a laptop.
