Burglaries
On Jul. 28 a home was broken into on Oakley Ave. in Massapequa, police said. The thief pried open a window on the side of the house and stole a pit bull puppy and $200 some time between 4:30 an 6:15 p.m.
On Jul. 26, a home was burglarized on Charles Ave. in Massapequa Park, according to cops. The rear door of the home was proken into, but nothing was taken.
Traffic Arrests
On Jul. 30, Shawn P Rooney, 21 of Centereach was arrested on the Southern State Parkway near exit 32, and charged with DWI and four violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
On Jul.26, Daisy P Gordon-Millingen, 55 of Copiague was arrested onSunrise Highway near Louden Avenue, Massapequa and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle 2nd and four violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Grand Larcenies:
On Jul. 26, two people were arrested in Macy's at the Sunrise Mall after a guard saw them take more than $1,000 worth of clothing, police said. Sherrie Rucker and Maurice Saylor were both charged with grand larceny.
On Jul. 27, Five Dell laptops were reported stolen from Massapequa High School, police said. they were taken from a cage in the school basement sometime in July, according to cops.
Petty Larceny Arrests
On Jul. 26, a Brooklyn woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.
On Jul. 26, a South Ozone Park woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
On Jul. 29, a Farmingdale woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
On Jul. 29, a Bayville woman was arrested at PromenadeCosmetics, 5284 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.
On Jul. 29, a Seaford woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
On Jul. 30, a Massapequa womann was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
On Jul. 30, a Massapequa woman was arrested at Wal-Mart at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
On Jul. 31, a Farmingdale woman was arrested at Kohl’s,5300 Sunrise Highway and charged with petty larceny.
On July 31, an Amityville manwas arrested at Pathmark, 941 Carmans Road, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.
On Aug. 1, a Freeport woman was arrested at JC Penny at the Sunrise Mall and charged with petty larceny.
On Aug. 1, a Bethpage woman was arrested at Kohl’s, 5300 Sunrise Highway, Massapequa and charged with petty larceny.
